Getting ready

March 13, 2023 Uncategorized 2 Comments

Not long now till we fly from Tasmania to Gold Coast then to Los Angeles, then Tucson where we will meet up with Gary (who we hiked the PCT with) and Annette (friend of Gary’s). We will have a couple of days to get over jetlag and do some last minute shopping for food and gas cylinder.

Our main concern at this stage are the reports of heavy and late-in-the-season snow falls. The trail, although “desert”, is often at quite a high altitude.
