Day 8: Holed up

We got away to an early start as we wanted to reach the next camp-site before the forecast storm at 11am. We walked a quick 7.6 miles and got the tent nicely pitched before the rain started around 1130.
So today has been spent listening to continuous rain on the roof and audio books on the mp3 player. Nothing much to report.

Is it a campsite with amenities or simply a flat, cleared space?

That’s not helpful for a late August Mt Katahdin!
