Day 16, Another zero

January 15, 2026

St Arnaud
TA km marker 1992.0
Hiked today: 0.0 km

Another very relaxing day was spent mostly indoors keeping dry. We met up with Pete who arrived mid morning, and checked into our room at the lodge when it became available at 2 pm. Some of the waiting time was passed at the DOC centre, reading about the area and checking once again on the forecast and safety issues on the trail ahead.

Dinner at the restaurant was good and we are getting our packs sorted now ready for an early start in the morning. We will probably have no reception for the next 5-6 days so won’t be posting to the blog for a bit.
