Day 107: Day off
We had a lovely evening with Jean and OG and taught them how to play a board game ‘Puerto Rico’ which we have at home. Then a sleep-in this morning and a late breakfast before starting to organize our food and other supplies for the next section.
OG’s resupply – he does not carry a stove so none of his meals require cooking.
On our way back to the trail OG took us to Snoqualmie Falls which was quite spectacular.
Then we drove on to the trail had, said goodbye to Jean, and climbed 4.4 miles to a campground, collecting water from a stream on the way. We chatted to a young hiker, trail name of Magpie, over dinner and retired to bed around 8:30 pm – a little later than usual for us.
Do you have trail nick-names?
Rob is Moss and I am Compass (due to my bad sense of direction)
Glad to see all goes well wiithyou both, lovely photos
Ah, that’s right, I remember reading about your names. Thanks
Gee Rob, at my first look at that group photo I thought Ken Middleton had teamed up with you.
Gorgeous waterfall. Never thought, to ask before now, but what are your trail names?
Our trail names are Compass (Ros) and Moss (Rob). See post under category People.
Wonderful pictures. Nice waterfall. (Robert, did you get Nick Buy’s message? Please check email)
Those Falls look spectacular……I just looked up the board game Puerto Rico and my brain went fuzzy after reading the first two paragraphs on how to play it…….think I had better stick to playing SNAP !!
Looking forward to your next exciting episodes……on,on
