Day 23: Wrightwood Peak
With a 6 am start we proceeded up the mountain again. It was tough with limited water and there didn’t seem any reprieve from the constant ascent. Our campsite was quite high at 6000ft and we reached about 8500 on the hike, followed by a descent to Wrightwood town.
This time there was no problem getting our boxes from the post office and the town appears to cater very well for hikers.
We expect to set off again some time tomorrow afternoon.
Gosh, how long did it take to pre-plan this hike? The more I read, the more I realise, what must have been involved in the planning stages.
I am enjoying every moment of your trip, keep on Keeping on. The photos are great and you are an inspiration to us all to get out doing something just because it is a challenge. Nothing has changed here on the coast
Loving every bit of your posts, can’t even imagine attempting what you are doing as I lie in my comfy bed reading your posts. Love your photos. Keep on keeping on, you are doing a fantastic job of it
