At Gourette

As planned, today was a restful day in Gourette. We watched the mist outside and listened to thunderstorms and rain while reading in our hotel room. We only ventured down to the restaurant for food at mealtimes (which were very good!).

Unfortunately, the forecast for tomorrow and the next day is for more rain. Also unfortunately, we can’t afford to stay here forever. So whatever the weather, we head out tomorrow, hoping to put 1 1/2 sections behind us. Without views there won’t be many reasons to stop,  and hopefully the path won’t be too slippery.
