Day off

June 20, 2024 2 Comments

Day 7, Jun 20, 2024
Rest day at Chalet Pedro
0 km hiked.

As planned, we spent the day relaxing at the Chalet Pedro. It is pretty basic accommodation, but we have kept dry and been able to get some food. The bar/restaurant only serves food from 12 til 2, so by midday , we were well and truly ready for a feed.  Lunch was a gigantic mountain of mushroom omelette  and chips and salad – high fat, low fibre.

The accommodation is right beside a fast flowing stream, with a weir and a fish ladder (we have enjoyed small trout in the menu a couple of times in this region).

Our stopover was also an opportunity to find and repair a small leak in Rob’s air mattress.

Thanks, everyone, for all the comments – we love reading them.

Ah seeing you love them I’d better give a comment.
Thanks for the blog – daily instalments at that. Great looking countryside.
