There were a few bright crimson cardinals fluttering around the buildings as we passed. Because of the incline it is called Jacob&#8217;s Ladder. It didn&#8217;t lead to the heavens but we did meet a friendly local couple near the top and chatting to them gave us a chance to get our breath back.
