About the AT

The Appalachian Trail is a 3,531km / 2,194 mile long distance hiking trail that runs from Georgia to Maine in the United States. It travels through 14 different states and has approximately 142km / 464,500 feet gain/loss in elevation. Most people take 5-7 months to complete it – we will have to finish within 6 months due to the length of our visa.

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is the best place to start for in-depth information about the AT.

Francis Tapon has the following diagrams on his website.
