Black Bear Resort

If you have been following our blog of our hike on the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), you will know that due to me (Rob) getting some asthma symptoms, we decided to stop at the Colorado border after completing the New Mexico section, and travel across to Tennessee and pick up hiking on the Appalachian Trail at the point we exited at the end of April, 2022.

Today’s travel of bus > Uber (because the second bus never turned up) > flight > flight > flight > shuttle van from Albuquerque to Black Bear Resort ended up being fairly straightforward, although with tight layover times.

Our cabin at Black Bear Resort

So now we are in a nice cosy cabin beside a gurgling creek, having sorted out our gear and food ready to start out after breakfast tomorrow morning.
