Back on the trail – 2025
June 20, 2025
Near AT mile marker 420.3
Black Bear Resort
If you have been following our blog of our hike on the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), you will know that due to me (Rob) getting some asthma symptoms, we decided to stop at the Colorado border after completing the New Mexico section, and travel across to Tennessee and pick up hiking on the Appalachian Trail at the point we exited at the end of April, 2022.
Today’s travel of bus > Uber (because the second bus never turned up) > flight > flight > flight > shuttle van from Albuquerque to Black Bear Resort ended up being fairly straightforward, although with tight layover times.

So now we are in a nice cosy cabin beside a gurgling creek, having sorted out our gear and food ready to start out after breakfast tomorrow morning.

Seems you’ve zoomed over to a quaint little place – great!
Brad put the new blog in Favourites for us.
*peter added it to favourites, not Brad
Great to see you got across safely! Happy to help Gma and Gpa
Glad you made it to the east coast. Looking forward to your AT blogs now. 😁
