Nero at Mountain Harbour
Day 29: April 26, 2022
AT mile 392.3 to 395.3
Hiked: 3.0 miles / 4.8 km
AT miles hiked to date: 18.0%
The forecast rain did not arrive until mid morning but by that time we had already walked the 3.2 miles from our camp-site to the Mountain Harbour B&B, which we had booked in advance for the night. So that means almost a full day of lounging around (what we call a nero).
This place is renowned for its breakfasts. We arrived just as it was winding up but there was still plenty to eat. We asked if we could join in, and the kind owners didn’t charge us.
Laundry and showers are done, so we look forward to a good night’s sleep and big breakfast tomorrow before we set out again towards Damascus.

Certainly more frequent comfort stops on the AT than you had on the PCT.
Hope the calf pain settles down and any tear heals quickly, Ros.
