Into week 4

April 22, 2022 Uncategorized 2 Comments

Day 22: April 19, 2022
AT mile 275.0 to 289.6
Hiked: 14.6 miles / 23.5 km
AT miles hiked to date: 13.2%

Powered by a great cooked breakfast we walked on out of the town of Hot Springs and back into the Blue Ridge mountains.

Another kind of trail magic?

The day dawned crisp and clear, good weather for the morning climb. We had heard the weather forecast – maximum 13 degrees followed by an overnight low of 3 degrees Celsius.

Around midday a cold wind sprang up and kept us moving on to keep warm. We have camped low down in a sheltered spot to try to keep ourselves a bit warmer overnight.
