All systems go!
I am uploading this post as we sit on the tarmac at Sydney airport on our flight to LAX. Yes, we are finally on our way having satisfied all the Covid and immigration hurdles. Yesterday afternoon we went to Brisbane airport and had a PCR test. The queue was short and the process was quick. We received our results (negative) half an hour later while in the train going back to Brisbane. Unfortunately all the time saved by the slick process was lost when a routing error resulted in the train going half way back to the Gold Coast. We eventually got back to Brisbane to stay the night with Ros’s sister.
Then a 4am start this morning got us back out to the airport to catch a flight down to Sydney. Checkin queues were long and slow with all the extra Covid related documentation. Brisbane to Sydney – done.
Our next post will probably be from Atlanta. Many thanks for all your Bon Voyage messages.

Mentally waved to you as we drove to Northmead this morning! Good to know there were no hiccups en route to the LAX flight.
Great news. I hope you had a good flight.
